It is that time of year: the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA's) annual consultations on Australia’s refugee and asylum policies are underway.
We are seeking feedback, suggestions and ideas from refugee communities, people seeking asylum, and individuals and organisations working with these communities. This is an important opportunity to share your views about Australia’s policies. Your feedback will inform RCOA’s ongoing research, submissions, reports and advocacy in Australia and internationally.
This consultation is for people working with, or supporting, people seeking asylum.
Who should come?
These consultations are designed generally for people who provide services to refugees and people seeking asylum and people from a refugee community or those seeking asylum.
To make sure that everyone feels that they can speak safely, these consultations are not open to:
- Representatives of the Department of Home Affairs and Department of Social Services, or
- People who are interested observers.
