RCOA and RCAN invite you to have your say on Australia’s refugee policies
Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) and Refugee Communities Advocacy Network (RCAN) NSW are seeking feedback, suggestions and ideas from refugee communities and people seeking asylum. This is an important opportunity to share your views about Australia’s policies. Your feedback will inform RCOA and RCAN’s ongoing research, submissions, reports and advocacy in Australia and internationally.
Who should come?
These consultations are designed for people from a refugee community or those seeking asylum.To make sure that everyone feels that they can speak safely, these consultations are not open to: Service providers, government departments or other non-organisational, non-refugee observers.
The consultations will be split into five parts: NSW Refugee Health Plan consultation, International and Australia’s Refugee and Humanitarian Program, Settlement Services, Asylum Policies and Refugee Communities Advocacy Network priorities. You are welcome to stay for all five sessions, or choose the most relevant session for your work. The times will be:
- NSW Refugee Health Plan consultation: 11.30am-12.30pm
- Refugee and Humanitarian Program & International session: 1pm-2pm
- Settlement session: 2pm-3pm
- Asylum session: 3pm-4pm
- Refugee Communities Advocacy Network priorities: 4pm-5pm
